Mr. & Mrs. Telly Harris - part 2 with photos

Okay....we promised you pictures... the fabulous Shawna Herring sent these over last night.. just for us! Thanks bunches Shawna...
For a bit of explanation.... Tifini was all about HEARTS...it was her central theme. When we first met last summer, she wanted us to design something different...similar to what we design for their condominium residence (Park Avenue Condominiums) on a weekly basis... contemporary and striking. Her favorite color is RED...with accents of black, silver and touches of white. The attendants dresses were custom designed (Kimberly Goldson, owner of Yv'ne G) each attendant in a style that they were most comfortable in... but all of the fabric was exactly the same, as were the accessories. The ballroom at the W Midtown Atlanta was set for 'in the round' seating.. with a stage just off center... and the stage had a rotating platform.. after all, this was about Tifini & Telly and they didn't want any of their guests to miss the ceremony. The bride & groom had prepared a movie & PowerPoint presentation for all of the guests, broadcast across from the stage and guest entrance. The details for the groomsmen and attendants were incredible.. not matching, but coordinated.. no detail was overlooked. All ten hostesses were in black skirts, white blouses, red necklaces and accessories.. and they were very well rehearsed in their duties.

Tifini was escorted by her father, Bishop Flynn Johnson of the Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral, through an aisle lined with red rose petals (over 200 roses were used).. ending in a scroll at the florals and a heart, all in petals... the aisle could not be completely lined due to guest seating.

Enjoy the pictures.. we hope to have more at a later date on our wedding website, www.foxglovesweddings.com

Congratulations Tifini & Telly.... enjoy your honeymoon!!

Mr & Mrs Telly Harris April 4, 2009

Just a quick note... our special bride, Tifini Johnson, is now Mrs. Telly Harris... the ceremony at the W Midtown was a knockout! We arrived at 9:30am to start the setup.. finishing up around 12pm.. very detailed work for us... but it was worth it! Michelle Martin (michelle.martin@whotels.com) at the W Midtown was the best.... anything the vendors required, her staff made it happen!! The fabulous Shawna Herring captured every possible moment...from Tifini's arrival on... in fact, at the time I write this, she's at the reception. Shenee Redden was a fantastic coordinator.. but don't go looking to hire her folks...she's retiring from this profession and moving in another direction. As a member of the Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral, she is a friend of the family and chose Tifini's event as her swansong. Don't dispair, she is head Concierge at W Downtown Residences, so you can see her when she is on duty! Makeup artist, Nickey Martin, of NMonique did a flawless job on all of the ladies.

We promise to post photos as soon as Shawna gets them to us... trust me, you will be amazed at what the bride had us design!!!!

Tonight we head back to the reception to breakdown... whew, sure makes for a very long day!!

Andrea Miles & TC Roepke March 28, 2009

Saturday March 28, 2009, Andrea Miles & TC Roepke were married at Villa Christina. For those of you readers not in the metro Atlanta area, we had a near biblical epic amount of rain that weekend.. almost 8 inches in places! Fortunately for TC & Andrea, the bride before there event also wanted to have the ceremony out of doors, so they had a tent installed over the cereomony area and had the sidewalk covered. Andrea's dress was bright white and elegant... her bouquet was composted of white French tulips, elegantly wrapped with white satin ribbon and pearl pins. The bridesmaids carried white Dutch tulips & 'Green Tea' roses.. classic yet contemporary. Her flower girl (Luna) was adorable in her white dress and she had her basket of petals... while the Ringbearer carried a pomander of white roses; the rings were actually tied ino the ribbon. Ceremony flowers were very tailored - two 42" tall cylinders with 'invase' design of white French callas and 'Green Goddess' callas... GORGEOUS! These were later repurposed for decor on the bar. The crew at Event Drapery placed a beautiful drapery screen for the ceremony. Once you see the photos, you will agree how nice the little touches are for such events.

Their reception was in the restaurant.. Andrea & TC wanted something elegant, easy and yet contemporary in their florals. She really loved white as her focal color and calla lilies are one of her favorite flowers, so we were able to come up with a seating plant incorporating 'Estate Style' seating for maximum impact and guest interaction. In order to make the white flowers & candlelight really POP... TC chose the Gunmetal Bengaline linens from BBJ Linens (Thanks Dee Lane)- one of their new colors... we've always believed for all white flowers to show best in photography, a strong neutral is the best choice for linens! The votive candles provided perfect warm ambience!

Katy and Alyssa of Sashay Events were the planners (Alyssa & Andrea are very close friends) and Patrick from Picture This! Photography was on hand to capture all of the special moments.

Best wishes to Mr & Mrs TC Roepke!!

April 4, 2009 wedding - Tifini Johnson & Telly Harris

On Saturday, April 4, 2009, Tifini Johnson & Telly Harris will be married! The ballroom in the W Midtown will host the ceremony and the reception will be at the Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral which happens to be her church. Her father, Bishop Flynn Johnson will officiate and her family will provide music. Tifini's favorite color is red, accented with silver; her bouquet will be heart shaped and consist of all 'Ranuncula' roses - a spectacular variety; the edges finished with Leucadendron argenta also known as Silver Tree. Bridesmaids have red dresses and their bouquets will feature 'Shanty' roses and white spray roses. Ceremony decor is very tailored - 8 tall cylinder vases will mark the 4 aisles.. each with red roses in a contemporary design, with red floral hearts haning from the Swarovski crystal chains...Tifini does like her bling! Telly will be in a white tux and Tifini's dress is from Dimitrios...but that's all I can say right now!!! Event Drapery is decorating the interior of the sanctuary with red sheer fabric hanging from the walls; red & silver/gray linens are for the guest tables while the Bride & Groom table will be dressed with white pintuck, platinum napkins and red satin chair covers, all from BBJ Linens.
Below is a 'storyboard' with some of her choices... as soon as the photographer, Shawna Herring provides us with images, we will definately share with you.
