It's nice to get these kinds of emails...thought we'd share!!

Hello Gentlemen,
I just wanted to thank you for all you do for us. I had an event today and my client asked me to get centerpieces from one of your fellow florist in Atlanta. Of course, I wanted to order them from you, but my client asked me to use this particular florist. I ordered them a few days ago and they delivered them today. The quality is absolutely NOTHING compared to what you provide us with. Cheap flowers and not presented well at all. And, to top it off they were way more expensive than you and were not willing to work within the budget that my client was looking for. I appreciate you guys understanding budgets, especially with the year that the economy has had. The flowers you provided us yesterday were absolutely gorgeous...I know I can always count on you to provide us with beautiful, high quality flowers. You are the ONLY florist I recommend to anyone, because I know I can count on you and I trust you!
Thank you so much and I hope you both have a great weekend!
Becky

Mother's Day love and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

This past Friday, F&I helped out the incredible patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Stephanie Milo of McCrae Public Relations (I hope I spelled that right!) contacted us a few months ago and asked if we would participate in the annual Rainbird (sprinkler people) Mother's Day project. When we found out it was for children, I said -'you betcha'! Visitors to the Atlanta Botanical Garden on Friday May 9, were asked to bring in stems of fresh cut flowers and they would receive reduced admission. Stephanie collected the flowers and as the day progressed, she called and we agreed it would be better if she could bring the flowers to our store and we would put the bouquets together. Unfortunately, there weren't a lot of flowers donated that could be used, so we donated about 400 stems of various flowers to ensure a successful project. Need I remind all of you that Mother's Day is the 2nd busiest flower holiday in our profession, so we were already exhausted and slammed, but we couldn't say no to the kids. When we loaded Stephanie's vehicle, she had flower bouquets out the ying yang! She delivered them to the hospital (sorry, don't know exactly which one) and the children presented their mothers with flowers... and folks, let me tell you, that is the true meaning of life.. giving to others in need... if everyone did 1 nice thing a day for a total stranger, pretty soon, we'd have a fabulous planet.. think about it!

Here are some pictures and the Thank You note we received in the mail today.. if I can figure out how to post the video..you'll see it as well.

First Communion at St. Joseph Maronite Church

Every year at Mother's Day, we get a call from the parents of the children who will receive their First Communion at St. Joseph Maronite (Eastern Rite) Catholic Church in Inman Park. The community of the church is a wonderful group of people, not too large, just small enough that everyone there knows everyone else. Primarily Lebanese-Americans, the service is of the Eastern branch of the Catholic Church; masses are in English & Arameic. Father Peter Boulos has led the congregation for 13 years and is leaving at the end of the month for a new assignment in Tampa. You wil be missed Fr. Peter... and we look forward to meeting Fr. Dominic.

The pictures are from the floral setup for the service on Saturday, May 9, 2009.
