Shanon Hall & Nathan Burgess 5-2-09 Part II

As I write this, Shanon and Nathan are now husband & wife. We took a few shots with our camera to tease you.. nothing fancy...Dwayne has promised to get me photos soon!

Leslie at Morningside Presbyterian Church was an absolute angel, considering we were loading in between thunderstorms..remember Shanon, it's supposed to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day!

Her reception flowers were all white, as promised.. and really should make them jump for joy when they arrive for the reception. Thanks to the staff at Ansley Golf Club for your assistance.

Shanon Hall & Nathan Burgess 5-2-09

Shanon & Nathan are tying the knot Saturday, May 2, 2009! Shanon is the last of 3 daughters to get married and mom is looking forward to this moment. Morningside Presbyterian Church is the site for the ceremony with a buffet reception at the Ansley Golf Club.

Shanon has chosen an all white affair, featuring flowers such as peonies (yes, the first bunches to come from the Netherlands... still too early for local!), garden roses from South America, lilac, French tulips, hydrangea, freesia, bouvardia, stock, spray roses, hybrid delphinium and variegated hostas. Each bridesmaid will carry a 'monobotanic' bouquet (one variety of one flower) and all of the flowers are in her bouquet.

Reception decor will feature stunning white linens from BBJ Linen - white pintuck and white ribbon sheer over white - crisp, clean and elegant. Centerpieces are low and high, with scads of candlelight -votives & floaters. She chose Mark Lotti's Classic Cheesecakes & Cakes 'Twig' cake, which will sit on a 'pillow' of white hydrangea.

Once the photographer, Dwayne Bass (whom I've known since he was 8!), releases some photos, we'll share with you all.

Best wishes to you both Shanon & Nathan... see you tomorrow!!!

Wedding of a friend

Our dear friend, Robert Blondeau, son of Betty Blondeau Russell, retired Director of Development with the Alliance Theatre and currently, DoD for Kenny Leon's Tru Colors Theatre - dropped back into our lives last year.. announcing he was finally marrying. We've known Robert for over 15 years... he used to drive for Flowers From Holland, LTD (Greg was Design Manager & Larry was Retail Manager)... not to mention we've worked with Betty at least that long. His lovely bride was Kirsten Nantz - what a sweetheart! The Wimbish House was the setting for the ceremony & reception.. Yeakle Photography (thanks Mike) provided us some photos and we like to share. You can tell from house decor it was during the holiday season, but the photos will attest to great planning for detail - you don't have to fight holiday decor...draw attention where you want - bold color choices will do the trick every single time.

Mr. & Mrs. Telly Harris - part 2 with photos

Okay....we promised you pictures... the fabulous Shawna Herring sent these over last night.. just for us! Thanks bunches Shawna...
For a bit of explanation.... Tifini was all about HEARTS...it was her central theme. When we first met last summer, she wanted us to design something different...similar to what we design for their condominium residence (Park Avenue Condominiums) on a weekly basis... contemporary and striking. Her favorite color is RED...with accents of black, silver and touches of white. The attendants dresses were custom designed (Kimberly Goldson, owner of Yv'ne G) each attendant in a style that they were most comfortable in... but all of the fabric was exactly the same, as were the accessories. The ballroom at the W Midtown Atlanta was set for 'in the round' seating.. with a stage just off center... and the stage had a rotating platform.. after all, this was about Tifini & Telly and they didn't want any of their guests to miss the ceremony. The bride & groom had prepared a movie & PowerPoint presentation for all of the guests, broadcast across from the stage and guest entrance. The details for the groomsmen and attendants were incredible.. not matching, but coordinated.. no detail was overlooked. All ten hostesses were in black skirts, white blouses, red necklaces and accessories.. and they were very well rehearsed in their duties.

Tifini was escorted by her father, Bishop Flynn Johnson of the Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral, through an aisle lined with red rose petals (over 200 roses were used).. ending in a scroll at the florals and a heart, all in petals... the aisle could not be completely lined due to guest seating.

Enjoy the pictures.. we hope to have more at a later date on our wedding website, www.foxglovesweddings.com

Congratulations Tifini & Telly.... enjoy your honeymoon!!
