Just recieved this from Stephanie via Twitter.... thought we'd share. Stephanie is the editor for 'Get Married' magazine... we were contacted during the summer to possibly provide the bridal bouquet...those of you who know us (and for those who are thinking about hiring us)...we do all the florals... The challange: we already had 2 booked for that Saturday, one in Callaway Gardens. No problem, we used a courier service to deliver to Big Canoe. As you can see from the movie preview, Stephanie & Tim were a joy to work with! Cannot wait to see the entire movie and the photos in the magazine next year. Congratulations to you both...

Caitlin Davies & Jeff Campbell October 17, 2009
Another of our 3 weddings & receptions on Saturday October 17th... also scheduled for outside - Caitlin & Jeff decided to weather it out under the tent at Druid Hills Golf Club... even though the wind was a'howlin!! According to the photographers (Picture This!) the tent posts were jumping up and down and caused a bit of a fright! Nonetheless, they didn't flinch and completed the ceremony. We were surprised the rose petals didn't fly away..glad they didn't.
Becky Warfield Graham, Banquests & Catering Manager (and one of our former brides) did a wonderful job with her staff accomodating the large number of guests in the ballroom.

Teresa Joyce & Carl Durham Oct 17, 2009 Callaway Gardens
Received the images from Kristen Alexander from Teresa & Carl's wedding & reception on October 17, 2009 at beautiful Callaway Gardens. Mother Nature wasn't kind to Southern Brides last weekend, but we were able to sneak in some photos before the ceremony. Kristen found the natural meadow the perfect spot to photograph the ladies...it was overcast, a bit blustery (understatement) - but the colors in the meadow were the perfect foil for Teresa's blue, yellow and soft gold. Wearing their bathrobes to the site, each one in turn posed with Teresa... bless their hearts...what troopers. Yours truly had the task of stomping down the briars, grasses and other vegetation so they could move about (in sandals!!) We also had to navigate a few fireant mounds.
Now we have seen hundreds of couples get married over the years, and while it is great to see they are in love, every now and then, we work with a couple like Teresa & Carl...they are truly soulmates.. and it showed. Carl was completely dressed before 1pm!!! He was as excited as a little kid on Christmas Eve... he WANTED to get married!!

October 17th madness...all is well in WeddingTown!
Whew....what a busy week and weekend here in Atlanta.... 3 weddings & receptions scheduled for October 17th.... all three were to have been outdoor ceremonies, but with the December weather we experienced (and still are) over the weekend, one brid & groom opted to move everything indoors. Teresa & Carl were married at Callaway Gardens; pictures will be posted tomorrow...waiting on Kristen Alexander to finish her post production. Caitlin & Jeff exchanged vows (and partied afterwards) at Druid Hills Golf Club - photos will be forthcoming from Greg and Sandra Scott at Picture This!. Our third wedding was at Big Canoe; Stephanie Davis (editor of 'Get Married' magazine) tied the knot with Tim Smith at Big Canoe...and they had the ceremony outside..despite the chill. Images from her wedding will be later, as they are featuring the event in their magazine..we'll let you know when they are available!

Words of praise
This email just came in - Lisa is a mother of one of our brides a few months ago... she also teaches at the school at Decatur First United Methodist.... thought we'd share:
Hi Larry and Greg,
Just got off the phone with Caroline from Decatur First Methodist, and she said you guys blew them away with the flowers you did for a wedding this past weekend. That is high praise indeed, and thought you might appreciate knowing what an impression you made. She said the candles, etc were just great, and that we picked a wonderful florist for Amy and Marco's wedding as well-of course, I agreed. Hope all is well. Were you ever able to see the pics from Amy and Marco's wedding?
Take care,
Lisa Lantrip

Amy Bledsoe & Bill Gmaz October 10, 2009 pix

For those of you reading that don't live in Atlanta, it won't make much sense, but it has been raining here most of October, supposedly the driest month of the year - which is why brides in the area have made October the number one month for weddings! Today, still pouring outside.. looks like Flood part II before this is done... and a perfect excuse to stay in your jammies and work from home!
Kristen Alexander has already provided us with some images for the blog.... thanks bunches Kristen!!
Amy & Bill held their intimate ceremony at the Decatur First United Methodist Church Chapel.. a gorgeous setting for the wedding. Many thanks to Carolyn there... good seeing you again! They were blessed with one tiny sprinkle session for approximately 2 minutes before the guests even arrived. They chose the historic Wimbish House, also known as the Atlanta Women's Center for their reception. As one of the 4 remaining mansions on Peachtree Street, the setting was perfect for the 70 guests attending. Amy chose flowers for the season...autumnal hues which rally provided the "PUNCH" she wanted in the house. The great folks of Bold American Catering did an outstanding job on the cuisine... and the wedding cake was created by Jeff at The Frosted Pumpkin ..a vision of chocolate simplicity. Well done everyone.... the linens were from BBJ (Amy picked them out all by herself!)..featuring the new Terra Cotta Shantung with Gold Deauville napkins.
