Air Date for Foxgloves & Ivy FDS on GET MARRIED TV

Just received a call from Wendy at Get Married.com and Get Married TV...  a couple of months ago, we accepted their 'Bouquet Challange'.    Our episode will air on WE Television Network (check your local cable listings) Saturday January 23, 2010 at 9:30 am!!!   You're gonna love it...we promise!!

We are also featured as the florist for the editor (Stephanie Davis) wedding in October 2009... and a few other snippets.. check it out!!

'Atlanta Weddings' Magazine WEDDING PARTY

'Atlanta Wedding' magazine hosted it's annual WEDDING PARTY last night at the newly renovated Georgian Terrace.  A wonderful lineup of vendors wowed brides & planners with ideas to garner new clients.  Our table featured brand new merchandise (first in the city!) and innovative floral designs.  The all white candelabrum were a ginormous hit with all!  Several of the vendors we love to work with were also participating - Heidi Elnora with gorgeous gowns and information on their swaree to raise money for Make A WIsh Foundation ..more info:  Heidi Elnora www.artofweddings.org , Highland Bakery, Sweet Sensations, The Art of Cosmetic Dentistry, Avenue Catering Concepts, Chocolate Pink, Get Married & Get Married. com (look for the airing featuring us soon), Ice Sculpture Inc, Jamison Shaw Hairdressers, Kelly's Closet, Savvi Formalware, Studio Wed, Swoozies and we reconnected with an old favorite.. Alexis at The Whitlock Inn of Marietta.  Our dear friend Kristen Alexander stopped in and shot a few pictures of our both... thought you might like a gander...much better than my photos.

 

Haley & John December 31, 2009

Our last wedding of the year... a very intimate affair.. .30 adults and 6 children... gathered in the groom's parents house on Valley Road, in Buckhead.

Haley wanted it clean & elegant.. her favorite colors - black & white.  Her bouquet is composed of Vendela Roses,  'Black Star' Miniature Callas and white spray roses.  Black velvet ribbon & Swarovski crystals are the ultimate in finishing touches.  Her little 'nieces' to be carried Kissing Balls of all Vendela roses, while the mothers carried small nosegays of matching flowers.  I have to tell you, I made her show me her shoes... black patent leather Christian Loubotin - complete with little patent leather bow at the toes... size 5½!!

The wedding & reception were held in the great room of the house.. in front of the family Christmas Tree, with a view to the back Italianate Garden.  John & Haley were surrounded by their guests as they stood for the ceremony.. conducted by the groom's sister, Patti (I called her the irreverent Reverend).  After the ceremony, everyone had dinner in the same room.  Linens were "Orleans Black Damask' from BBJ :Linens, black bengaline napkins.  Chairs and tables from We Rent Atlanta. .  Haley loves a little bling, so we placed Swarovski crystals on her wedding cake (Cakes by Ella).. while John picked out his own cake, red velvet.

Holiday hours

All of us here at Foxgloves & Ivy Floral Design Studio extended our warmest and heartfelt wishes for a very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season. 

We will close at 12 noon Thursday December 24th, closed Dec 25-27th....reopening with limited hours the week of December 28-January 2nd.

"Larry,  Well it will be two months tomorrow since Bill and I got married.  We did not get back until October 23rd from our honeymoon and it has been a world wind every since.
